Our Mission

is to empower children and families impacted by incarceration by providing transformative experiences that inspire change and create a pathway to a brighter future. As a faith-based organization, we are dedicated to building supportive communities that foster healing, resilience, and hope. Through education, advocacy, and mentorship, we share the importance of higher education; especially the value of attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and our work to break the cycles of incarceration. We are committed to curating strong communities and nurturing leaders; equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and faith needed to transform their lives and the systems that impact them.

I am his third oldest child and my Dad has been gone away from me since 2000.This means he left my side when I was three years old and yes, you hear me say my side because I was his shadow we would take my oldest brother to school and spend the rest of the day tearing up the streets. I remember it like it was yesterday, he would sleep on the floor next to my bed when I was a baby. He was my everything and my best friend. Yes, I was angry when he left, but that does not change the fact that I still love my Dad with my whole heart. I missed out on all of the Father-Daughter dances, bring your Dad to school days, and just having the ability to run to my Dad. However, now I am an adult, and I need him more than ever; you see I have Lupus and this Monster of a Disease has destroyed my kidneys and at only twenty-three my kidneys are completely failed. My Dad being the amazing Father that he is was the first one to say he will get tested to give me his, so him coming home early will speed up the process and possibly save my life, but that is not even the biggest reason I want him home. Honestly, I just miss my Dad and it is not too late for me to still be a Daddy's Girl.
